OLX promises to be more efficient, convenient

Online and mobile classifieds company, OLX Philippines, has introduced its “Win Together” campaign which promotes win-win exchanges between buyers and sellers.

OLX, which originally stood for “Online Exchange,” is an online buy and sell platform that is being utilized by users to buy and sell goods and cars, find a job, or rent a house.

“OLX today is all about the connections and lifestyle created through the simple act of buying and selling,” explains Giancarlo Bonsel, General Manager at OLX Philippines. “Through our platform, we connect people with one another to create value with each transaction and in time, foster relationships that enable a growing, supportive community that wins together.”

Cris Concepcion, Chief Marketing Officer at OLX Philippines, says, “We believe that buying and selling go beyond its practical functions. The exchanges between buyers and sellers create a community where everybody wins.”

Bonsel said the OLX platform is free and it is great on people to start creating value together with the platform. It has value-added services and guarantees authenticity of products.

Bonsel claims the platform has an online community of eight million users, making it the largest buy and sell platform within the Philippines. With over 40,000 new listings placed every day, OLX continues to respond to the community’s needs and demands and with the firm’s new campaign, it aims to be more efficient, convenient and safe to improve lives of Filipinos.

“We rely on this community to protect each other and encourage buyers and sellers to provide feedbacks. We also have a local team that assists people on the ground to ensure that we have the pulse of the market,” said Bonsel.

The platform empowers local communities by turning their pre-owned goods into opportunities such as helping more individuals continue their passions; take part in saving the environment; and even contributing to the development of a sustainable and renewable economy.

“We hope our platform continues to be part of motivating more people to create communities engaging in winning exchanges,” said Bonsel.

It is also the mission of OLX to educate Filipinos in trading goods to grow their own community base as well as encourage entrepreneurship and healthy exchanges with more people.

With regards platform users, majority of them are working professionals in the age bracket 22 to 39 years old. Most of these are males but the number of female users is growing.
