Emerson Network Power has appointed Jason Lim as the new country manager. Lim will lead Emerson as it looks to expand its market presence in the Philippines, bringing its comprehensive solutions and services portfolio into a broader market.
As one of the fastest growing economies in Southeast Asia, the Philippines’ shows much promise in its ICT landscape. A recent IDC report found that the country’s ICT spending will grow to about 10 percent this year and reach USD 50 billion, driven by the connectivity and mobility demands of a growing digital population, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), disruptive technologies and secondary and tertiary cities nationwide.
Crucial to the success of the ICT industry is the ability to rapidly expand data centers to manage the influx of connected devices while delivering excellent customer service. As a response to demand, IT managers are decentralizing computing power to network edge facilities to manage data traffic and ensure quality of digital interactions of consumers. In turn, ICT enterprises are shifting their IT strategy towards fully integrated data center environments such as Converged Infrastructure that can address speed of deployment, on-demand capacity and cost efficiency needs.
“As the Philippines continues to progress and become as competitive as its other Southeast Asian neighbors, we will be seeing a lot of organizations increasingly integrating IT in their business strategy. How IT managers will integrate innovation will ultimately spell the success of their organization, and I hope to extend Emerson Network Power’s track record of technology innovation and operational excellence to help them achieve this,” said Lim.
Under his new role, Jason will work with key Philippine enterprises from the telecommunications, banking and business process outsourcing sectors to future-proof their organization through industry-leading critical infrastructure solutions.
“Jason’s appointment is a strategic move to support the changing needs of our customers in the Philippines,” said Paul Churchill, vice president for Southeast Asia sales, Emerson Network Power. “We are confident that Jason’s deep knowledge of the market, customer focus and proven leadership capabilities will strengthen our plans for the market and move the company and our customers further.”
