Nissan Philippines has introduced to the local market its latest pick-up model, the Nissan Navara Sport Edition. First released in the market in 2014, Nissan Navara is the company’s fastest growing model in the pick-up market, contributing 33% to the company’s sales.
The Nissan Navara Sport Edition is an choice for those who are looking for a “macho image” pick-up for their daily use, said SJ Huh, GM for marketing of Nissan Philippines. This is because the latest model features exterior enhancements that are said to make it “appear tough, stylish and sporty.”
The vehicle’s honeycomb chrome front grille is coupled with a new dark chrome finished front skirt and fog lamps. Added to these are other features such as the side step and rear bumper, both wrapped in a dark chrome finish; under rail bed liner, the new sport roll bar with LED lamp; and the 18-inch alloy wheels capable of taking on any terrain.
Inside, the pick-up has Zero-Gravity inspired seats for both driver and passengers. These seats, which provide spinal support, help reduce fatigue during long drives. Other features include: leather-wrapped steering wheel, shift knob, armrest, door trims, air-cooling system that has rear vents, and premium sound system.
With a multilink suspension system, riders of this sport edition can experience car-like riding and driving comfort. Its drive comes from a DOHC inline 4-cylinder, 16-valve engine with Variable Turbocharger (VGS) and Intercooler, with a number of variants to meet drivers’ needs.
Nissan Navara Sport Edition also comes with safety features, such as ABS, brake assist and airbags.
