Teleperformance opens 17th PH facility in Pasig City

Teleperformance Philippines, one of the country’s leading business process outsourcing firms, has recently opened its 17th business facility in Pasig City and is also looking to expand its operations by opening two additional sites before the year ends.

Travis Coates, Managing Director at Teleperformance, said the new facility will accommodate 2,000 employees that will serve the needs of their clients in healthcare, technical support, cable and telecommunications sectors. This brings the company’s total manpower base to over 40,000 in 11 Metro Manila sites and six provincial facilities.

Coates also announced that the company is looking to expand its operations by opening two more facilities that will bring to 19 the number of sites and providing employment for 42,000 to 44,000 workers by end of the year. These sites are located in Mindanao which will open by mid-year; and in Metro Manila.

“There are opportunities to expand beyond Metro Manila. There is a strong talent base in the provinces. We want to continue to leverage provincial location because we know there are good talents there,” said Coates.

Coates further said the company will continue to grow in Metro Manila as they get additional clients for their Metro Manila sites. Clients in Metro Manila consist of mobile device, financial and travel companies.

To ensure of having good talents, Coates said that Teleperformance has developed partnership with local universities and colleges in terms of talent development.

Jeffrey Johnson, Senior Vice President for Human Capital Resource Management at Teleperformance, expressed their support for the IT and Business Processing Association of the Philippines (IT-BPAP) efforts in establishing an industry curriculum to train college students on having good command of the English language and computer competency.

With 85% concentration on voice, Teleperformance has business facilities in Metro Manila, Antipolo, Baguio, Bacolod, Cebu and Davao which operate over 27,500 workstations.
