Samsung Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 Edge to go to market on March 11

The Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge are available in black onyx and gold platinum, and the Galaxy S7 Edge is also available in silver titanium. Both devices have a 32 GB hard drive2, a microSD card slot for up to 200 GB of additional storage and larger-capacity batteries – 3,000 mAh for Galaxy S7 and 3,600 mAh for Galaxy S7 Edge.

The Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge will be available on March 11, though some global telecom companies are already accepting  preorder of both phones.

Galaxy S7

The latest additions to Samsung’s Galaxy series have numerous enhancements, including expandable storage options, an improved camera and fast wireless charging, all in a slim IP68 rated water- and dust-resistant design.

With curved-glass backs and slimmer ergonomic bodies, the 5.1″ Galaxy S7 and 5.5″ Galaxy S7 Edge can be held in one hand and fit in a pocket or purse. The Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge sport a new always-on Super AMOLED display which allows users to take short, quick peeks at basic information like the time, calendar or notifications without touching or waking the screen. The always-on display turns off when the phone is tucked away in a pocket or purse and out of sight.

The Galaxy S7 edge has curved glass on all sides of the device for a unique dual-edge display and bigger screen for an immersive experience . In addition, the smartphone’s curved back and edge screen design gives instant access to contacts and apps, as well as easy-to-read notifications.

Other features include: water and dust resistant design (with an IP68 rating); advanced camera (with technology that allows for faster autofocus and captures low-light photo); wireless charging; and for the Galaxy S7 Edge, a new Task Edge screen that offers one-tap access to applications, functions and screens, such as contacts, selfie mode or calendar.
