Amdocs announced that Globe Telecom, through its subsidiary G-Xchange, Inc.(GXI), will upgrade its existing GCash mobile money services with the latest version of the Amdocs Mobile Financial Services (MFS) solution. The upgrade will enable GXI to expand and scale up its capabilities to address mobile financial services market needs such as delivering bulk payment services for salaries and government disbursements.
Amdocs’ MFS solution has been powering GCash money services since 2004.
With this latest solution, GXI will be able to deliver services with a seamless customer experience across multiple touch points, as well as improved analytics to view and manage their transactions. Besides upgrading GXI’s system, Amdocs will also provide end-to-end delivery services including project scope analysis, development, deployment, testing, capacity analysis and ongoing support services.
“The Philippines market is increasingly shifting towards mobile payments, given the exponential rise in adoption of smartphones and online shopping,” said Patrick McGrory, division president for Amdocs emerging offerings. “The upgrade of GXI’s existing system with Amdocs’ latest MFS solution and services builds on our existing solution that has supported GCash over the last 14 years. It enables GXI to continue to innovate, capturing the immediacy of the digital age and delivering ‘The New World of Customer Experience’ by enhancing its core offering to support the growing demand for mobile payments and commerce as well as other digital financial services to win customer loyalty.”
