ViewSonic Corp., provider of visual solution products, released three apps to make the use of projectors simpler. The apps include: ProjectorExpert APP, vRemote remote control APP, and ProjectorDistance APP.
Aside from collecting information, the ProjectorExpert App has menu for 10 options. For example, the “Features” option can check the power setting of the projector, its lamp mode, color options and presentation timer. Meanwhile, the “Projector” mode can check the screen resolution, brightness, throw of the projector light and its usage in a home theater.
The vRemote App allows a smartphone to function as a virtual remote control. In order for it to function, the smartphone must be Infrared enabled or users can utilize a USB wireless adapter (PJ-WPD-200) to have their Android or iOS devices wirelessly stream content to a projector.
Meanwhile, the ProjectorDistance App helps measure the throw distance. Options will then display the correct screen size and projector placement.
All the apps are available on the Google Play and App store for Android and Apple iOS devices.
