Consumer electronics assembler LG Electronics announced the availability in the Philippines of its latest line of curved OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diodes) TV equipped with 4K Ultra High-Dynamic Range (HDR) display, which allows faster refresh rate, better contrast and color reproduction than liquid crystal display (LCD) and light emitting diode (LED). This is because LG OLED TVs feature self-lighting pixels that can be switched on and off individually; these emit light and do not require backlight panels, thereby allowing deeper black and color contrast.
Available in 55-inch and 65-inch, these LG’s Curved OLED TVs feature 4K Ultra HDR display that provides four times higher level of contrast between light and dark images on the screen. The TVs also feature the Art Slim design and sound designed by Harman/Kardon.
LG Curved 4K HDR OLED TV already won global recognition. It was awarded “King of TV”, at the 11th Annual Value Electronics TV Shootout 2015 during the Consumer Electronics Week. It also won the Best Product in the European Home Theater TV category during the European Imaging and Sound Association (EISE) 2015 awards.
Both sizes of LG Curved 4K HDR OLED TV are available this November. The 55-inch is priced at P179,990 while the 65-inch is sold at P299,990.
Until November 15, customers can get a discount of up to 25% from the standard retail price of the 55-inch iterations from LG’s 4K LED line-up.
