Pointwest Technologies Corporation was named finalist in two categories at the 2015 Asia CEO Awards, recognizing its outstanding leadership and organizational achievements as a fully Filipino-owned IT-BPM firm.
The two categories were for the KPMG Executive Leadership Team of the Year and the TCS ASEAN Company of the Year. The awarding ceremony was held recently at the Gala Night at the Marriott Hotel Manila’s Grand Ballroom.“Pointwest considers it a great honor to have been nominated for two categories,” Ma. Cristina Coronel, Pointwest president, said. “Given the large number of applicants this year, becoming a finalist is an achievement. To be named for two categories is high praise, indeed.”
Pointwest has significantly expanded from 2014 to 2015 from its service footprint in the ASEAN and global network, its cadre of professionals that can respond to the digital transformation needs of the global economy, its increasing presence in the product innovation space, to state-of-the art facilities that foster the integration of creativity, digital business and technology.
To achieve a sustainable growth amidst the digital disruption requires an agile response to learning and implementing new solutions. Pointwest’s drive to strengthen its digital capabilities has led to the establishment of its “Digital Playground” at the Rockwell Business Center housing the growth of capabilities in mobility, social collaboration, data science and the cloud.
Pointwest’s mobile team continues to reap awards with its mobile app Arko. In 2015, it has been awarded by three award-giving bodies – the World Summit Awards for the Mobile Category of m-Inclusion and empowerment, the International ICT Awards for Best Philippine Mobile App and it is now nominated at the ASEAN ICT Awards with the grand champion to be unveiled this November 2015.
Believing in the ASEAN growth potential, Pointwest has incorporated Pointwest Global to strengthen its business integration and continue its advocacy as the Filipino brand of knowledge specialist.
“Expansion into ASEAN has long been a goal of the company,” Rene Quizon, Executive Director for Business Development, said. “During the regional leg of the ASEAN Business Awards in 2014, and in the face of ASEAN Integration, we think that this is an opportune time to really build up our presence in our home region.”
