Acer, a strong brand in the world of desktops and laptops, continues to make its presence felt in the smartphone market with the recent announcement of new budget-friendly Android-based smartphones and tablets that are aimed at young professionals.
The most powerful of the Liquid phones Acer launched is the Liquid X2. Running on 1.3GHz octa-core 1.3GHz processor with 3GB RAM, the LTE-capable phone has triple micro SIM slots and has a 4000mAh battery. Both rear and front cameras are 13MP. The 5.5″ phone has a 32GB ROM, and a suggested retail price of Php11,990.
The cheapest phone the company unveiled is the 4.5″ Acer Liquid Z330 which has a suggested retail price of Php3,990. Running on Android 5.0 Lollipop, the phone is powered by an MSM8909 Quad Core 1GHz processor with 1GM RAM and 8GB ROM. It is a 2,000mAh battery that lasts up to 6 hours and has a MicroSD slot that supports up to 32GB of external storage. It also features a 5MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front camera.
Eye-strain from prolonged screen viewing is reduced by Liquid Z330’s Acer BluelightShield technology, while the DTS Studio Sound technology delivers a wider sound range, that lets you hear more details and clearer vocals when listening to music or watching videos.
Other notable features of the Acer Liquid Z530 include LTE connectivity, Dual SIM, 1.3GHz Quad Core processor with 2GB RAM, 2,500mAh batter, and a MicroSD slot that supports up to 32GB.
For young professionals who need more power and have a bigger budget, there is the 5.5″ Acer Liquid Z630 which has a tag price of Php6,990. Its 4,000 mAh battery is supposed to support up to 10 hours of talk time. The Liquid Z630 draws its power from a 1.3 GHz Quad Core processor with 2GB RAM and 16ROM. The Iconia One 8, which has an SRP of Php6,990, has an 8-inch HD IPS display and only supports WiFi connectivity. It runs an Octa Core processor with 1GM RAM and 16GB storage. It has a 5MP VGA camera, 2,500 mAh battery and runs on Android Lollipop. The tablet comes with a free stylus.Meanwhile, the Iconia One 10 has a 10-inch HD IPS display and supports WiFi connectivity. It runs an Quad Core processor with 1GM RAM and 16GB storage. It features has 5MP rear camera and a 2MP front camera. This tablet will last long as it has a 6,000mAh battery.
