Lazada has announced discounts and deals on products bought via the Lazada Mobile App from October 8 to 11.
The highlight of this sale will be the items that will be priced at only P99. Hot new gadgets like the iPhone 6s (16GB) will be available for P34,999 on flash sale, the lowest price available in the Philippines. The new Alcatel Flash 2 will also be available on flash sale on Oct. 8.
Since its launch of the new app, Lazada has seen a surge in the the interaction of its users with products. Visits are doubling and time spend on the app has been increasing. Since the launch of the newly updated Lazada Mobile App, it currently enjoys more than double the number of screens per session (versus its previious version) on Android, and more than a third to that in iOS.
The new app version also encourages people to spend more time shopping via the app with android users spending 40% more time shopping on the new version while iOS shoppers spend close to 10% more time that they use to shop.
With its focus on mobile commerce, Lazada is in the forefront of a rapidly growing market. Supported by more than 10 million new smartphone users in 2015, access to mobile shopping is easier than ever.
As smartphones become more affordable yet packed with faster processors, bigger memories, larger screen displays, and more attractive data plans – all suitable for online shopping, smartphones start to become a more popular choice for Filipinos to shop online and slowly displacing the tablets.
The data of the highest share of mobile shoppers in rural areas show that people without access to a laptop or computer become straight online shoppers with the largest and most affordable shopping mall in their hand, offering a much greater value than what they have in their local retail stores. Based on Lazada data, the Autonomous Region of Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) has more mobile shoppers than desktop shoppers.
