PLDT gains AWS partner status, strengthens cloud portfolio

PLDT, through its Information and Communications Technology  (ICT) company, ePLDT, continues to bolster its enterprise solutions portfolio with its recent inclusion in the  Amazon Web Services (AWS) Partner Network (APN). PLDT has also expanded its participation in the APN by being  named an APN Direct Connect Partner, the only telecommunications company in the country to gain this status.

With these industry-recognized distinctions, PLDT expects to further strengthen its leadership with its capability to serve the end-to-end ICT requirements of its customers.

“We have always endeavored to go beyond infrastructure and deliver all the relevant  IT elements for our enterprise customers in order to enable their competitiveness in this digital economy,” shared Nerisse Ramos, ePLDT Chief Operating Officer.  “Our status as an AWS Registered Partner and Direct Connect Partner is made even more valuable to clients by the fact that we are able to serve both their infrastructure and network needs, while providing local support that will certainly offer a better customer experience.”

The AWS Partner Network, the global partner program of Amazon Web Services, is composed of industry leaders that have established their expertise in providing services and support for the AWS platform.  The Direct Connect Program, open only to AWS Partners, enables certified partner organizations to enhance their customers’ experience by offering more flexibility when it comes to choosing how to connect with AWS.

Inclusion in the AWS Partner Network involves intensive training across the various AWS focus areas, to ensure that partners’ personnel are fully capable to deliver support for these services.

“Achieving AWS Registered Partner and Direct Connect Partner status is an important milestone for us, as it underscores our commitment to constantly enhance the solutions we deliver and the support we provide to all our customers,” said Eric Alberto, ePLDT President & CEO and PLDT EVP for Enterprise and International & Carrier Business Group. “With a more comprehensive suite of cloud services, combined with our strength in the data center space and continuously growing capabilities in Social, Mobility and Analytics, we are more than ready to help our customers leverage on the benefits of AWS to help boost operational efficiencies and business performance.”
