Avaya has launched its new suite of enhanced cloud and on-premise communications solutions that are largely targeted at mid-market companies, which represents 90% of the company’s market.
The new Avaya solution offerings are supported by Fabric Connect, a fabric-based networking technology which can reduce network rages, allowing quick access to information. The company says the technology can also help accelerate the deployment and integration of new communication channels and applications.
Edgar Doctolero, Country Manager for the Philippines at Avaya notes the company is working with Google and HP, and a host of regional traditional service providers, cloud service providers and its ecosystem of channel partners in offering three different deployment options that include Avaya Powered Cloud Services; Avaya Branded Cloud Services; and Avaya Private Cloud Services.
These options provide a flexible approach that suits customers’ needs. The benefits derived by customers from this approach include the following: allowing a third party to manage the complexity of the communication environment; the flexibility to turn on and off services rapidly; a focus not on how much a deployment will cost but what it can save; and the availability of same levels of security in on-premise solutions.
In a survey conducted in 2014 to Avaya customers who have already deployed Fabric Connect, it was found out that the implementation time was 11 times faster; troubleshooting and configuration times were both reduced by seven times; and outages due to human error were eliminated.
Doctolero said the company is focusing on mid-market enterprises for its new cloud solutions, targeting customers in manufacturing, hospitality and health sectors.
“I am seeing an upward growth in the small and medium market,” Doctolero said.
In a media briefing, Doctolero also shared that Avaya has captured 40% of the market for contact center and unified communications applications and 42% of the enterprise telephony market. It also focuses on the government sector.
Doctolero also announced at the briefing that Avaya has acquired Canadian-based collaboration and communications solutions provider Esna Technologies.
