Singapore Airlines (SIA) recently selected PLDT ALPHA Enterprise as the end-to-end ICT provider for their new SilverKris Lounge at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 (NAIA 3).
The partnership was formalized with a contract signing ceremony at the Singapore Airlines Philippine office, attended by top PLDT and Singapore Airlines officials.
As the historic flag carrier of Singapore, Singapore Airlines began its operations in the Philippines 49 years ago. The airline currently flies to 62 destinations around the world. In September 2014, SIA moved its operations from NAIA Terminal 1 to NAIA Terminal 3.
Through the partnership, PLDT ALPHA Enterprise will empower Singapore Airlines’ NAIA 3 “SilverKris Lounge” through managed IT solutions and Dedicated Internet Access Service (iGate). This ensures Singapore Airlines passengers enjoy high-speed, reliable Internet connectivity while waiting for their next flight.
“The SilverKris Lounge is one of the key product enhancements that we are introducing to the Filipino market this year. This is part of a SGD100m worldwide investment that we are making to enhance our lounge offerings. Besides ensuring that our lounge will be a ‘home away from home’ for our passengers, we want to also ensure that they can stay well connected with their family, friends or work. That is why we chose to partner with PLDT ALPHA Enterprise for our SilverKris Lounge project at NAIA Terminal 3,” says Singapore Airlines Philippines General Manager Carol Ong.
“On behalf of the entire team, I thank Singapore Airlines for entrusting to us their business as we enable their SilverKris Lounge. We take pride in being affiliated with global brands such as Singapore Airlines and we are confident that this is just the beginning as we together pursue Enabling the Digital Enterprise,” says Precy Katigbak, PLDT FVP and Head of PLDT ALPHA Enterprise.
