Multilingual call center expands to Davao

Open Access BPO is set to launch a new office in Davao City next month as it aims to establish an even more dynamic niche in the global outsourcing industry.

Aiming for a wider reach and a more dynamic presence in the multilingual offshoring industry, Open Access BPO has announced that it will be bringing its services to Davao City, dubbed as the safest city in the Philippines.

Open Access

The multilingual call center will be launching its new office on August 11 in Davao, which is seen by industry experts as the nation’s next outsourcing hub. This will be the firm’s second office in the country, with the first one previously established in the central business district of Makati, which also ranks high among Philippines’ safest cities.

“The reasons for expansion are threefold. First is that the cost of doing business in Davao is a lot less, about 20 to 30 percent less than in Manila, savings which we can pass onto our clients. The second reason one is for redundancy purposes. Having two different locations for customer support creates an extra blanket of security. Another reason for going to Davao is that it’s the safest city in the country,” company CEO Benjamin Davidowitz said.

Upon its launch in Davao, Open Access BPO looks to employ approximately 180 professionals who will be delivering English voice and non-voice customer support to company clients. The new office will be located at G/F Filandia IT Center, Quirino Avenue corner Jacinto Ext. St., 11-B Poblacion District, Davao City 8000. Filandia IT Center is one of the eight IT parks in the city accredited by the Philippine Economic Zone Authority.

Company founders Benjamin Davidowitz and Henry Chang will be attending the launching event, as well as key managers of the company. The event will also welcome media personnel from various parts of Southern Philippines. In addition, qualified professionals seeking to establish a BPO career are invited to attend and apply for the company’s various job openings at 3:00 PM. They can also take part in the ribbon cutting festivities.

Recently, Open Access BPO also opened an office in Taipei, Taiwan, tagged the 13th most secure city in the world by The Economist. Together with the venture in Davao, these expansions equate to the company’s operations coming from the world’s safest areas.

“We aim to open our offices in cities that are very safe, populated by a highly educated workforce, and offer a high level of accessibility,” said Davidowitz. “Our new offices in Taipei and Davao echo that sentiment.”

Soon to operate from three offices in Asia, the Philippine BPO firm actively seeks stronger client relations and a fortified marketing strategy within and beyond the region.

Since its inception in 2006, Open Access BPO evolved from primarily offering telemarketing services into an all-encompassing offshoring solutions firm specializing in multilingual customer service and content moderation solutions.

Gaining momentum as a frontrunner in multilingual solutions, Open Access BPO dedicates itself to providing premium solutions to its partners, allowing them to focus on their core competencies. It also publishes white papers and case studies tackling various aspects of outsourcing to aid business owners in understanding the larger offshoring industry.
