Microsoft has announced two new Lumia smartphones running Windows Phone 8.1 and upgradeable to Windows 10 when it becomes available later this year. The new phones are the Lumia 640 XL 3G Dual SIM and Lumia 540 Dual SIM.
Priced at PhP11,990, the Lumia 640 XL 3G Dual SIM offers increased productivity through Microsoft Office experiences, OneDrive storage and fast connectivity.
Sporting a 5.7″ HD display, the phone has 1GB of memory and runs on a quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. It has 3000 mAh battery for longer power.
The phone measures 6.2 x 3.1 x 0.35 inches and weighs 6 ounces. It has a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5 -megapixel front camera.
The Lumia 640 XL is expected to be available in the Philippines from May 1, 2015, in matte cyan, orange and black, as well as glossy white.
The Lumia 540 Dual Sim also features Windows Phone 8.1 and boasts a 5-inch HD display. It helps people stay productive on-the-go with Microsoft services like Skype and Office available out-of-the-box, and enables better mobile experiences, such as taking wide-angle selfies that fit in more of the action, thanks to the front-facing 5 megapixel camera.
The new Lumia 540 Dual SIM is also capable of upgrading to Windows 10 and will be available by June this year in cyan, orange, white and black for only PhP7,990 (SRP).
Both phones will come with a one-year subscription to Office 365 Personal for the Lumia device, as well as for one PC or Mac and one tablet, plus 1 TB of OneDrive storage and 60 free minutes per month of Skype worldwide calling.
