ESET re-engineers security products to improve usability and performance

Protection apps and services provider ESET has announced that its next-generation business security products, which are re-engineered and re-designed to increase usability, performance and flexibility, is now available globally for organizations of all sizes.

Servicing 100 million users worldwide, ESET boasts IT security products for business that offer maximum proactive protection with low impact on company infrastructure, aside from new features which include Botnet Protection, Exploit Blocker, Anti-Phishing and Anti-Theft.

For complete protection against viruses and emerging threats, ESET has IT security products that encompass endpoint antivirus, endpoint security, file security, gateway security, mail security, mobile security, and remote administration.

ESET’s IT security products have a new user interface known as the ESET Remote Administrator, a platform-independent, remote management console that has been re-engineered to enhance usability, improve protection and reduce overall cost of implementation and management. This essential feature possesses a built-in task management system to minimize downtime, while allowing actions to be performed automatically based on dynamic group membership.

The company’s security application for Android mobile phones has a proactive scanning engine with anti-spam and anti-theft features that provide real-time protection against known and emerging threats.

Ciriaco B. Santos III, Sales and Distribution Head at Valueline Systems & Solutions Corp., pointed out that the company’s security application for Android mobile phones features a remote siren used to locate missing phones by activating a siren sound that will play even if it is set to mute.

Raymond Latonio, APAC Regional Channel Manager at ESET Singapore, cited that the company also offers encryption and backup and recovery apps through ESET Technology Alliance which assists businesses realize full value from their IT infrastructure.

For data encryption, ESET has the DESlock enterprise server, a simple-to-use encryption service for hard drives, removable media, files and emails of small and large enterprises. It also has StorageCraft that delivers backup and recovery of files and operating systems for Windows environment.

ESET, with headquarters in Bratislava, Slovakia, has a global sales network covering 180 countries, and regional offices in Bratislava, San Diego, Singapore and Buenos Aires.

Among ESET market, the Philippines posted a market share of six percent, making it the fifth largest. The local ESET market covers 18 industries, home and personal users.

The ESET’s IT security products are exclusively distributed in the Philippines by Valueline Systems & Solutions Corp.
