Asus Philippines recently launched three notebooks, namely the Transformer Book T300Chi, Transformer Book T300FA, and the Republic of Gamers (ROG) G Series G551.
A recipient of 2015 CES Innovation Award, the T300Chi is a compact 12.5-inch model distinguished by its razor-thin profiles and quiet performance, made possible by the fanless design. It only measures just 1.65cm when docked, which is even thinner than an Apple MacBook Air. The Chi has an all-aluminum unibody design, and its edges are enhanced with diamond-cut chamfering.
Chi’s instant, seamless transformation between tablet and laptop is made possible by a magnetic hinge mechanism, which uses neodymium — the world’s most powerful magnetic material — to ensure secure, reliable and fuss-free docking. The keyboard is connected via Bluetooth, with a working range of up to 20m.
The Transformer Book Chi Series uses in-plane switching (IPS) displays enhanced with ASUS TruVivid technology, and features up to FHD (1920×1080) resolution.
Chi’s displays also have an sRGB color gamut — 20% wider than the gamut of standard displays — that gives richer, more vivid and more accurate color reproduction. Colors are enhanced even more with ASUS Splendid technology, which optimizes display settings for a variety of different usage modes.
ASUS SonicMaster audio technology gives Transformer Book Chi Series the edge over the competition when it comes to sound quality. The superior engineering and cleverly-designed software delivers immersive sound that is rich, powerful and distortion-free, with clear vocals and a full-range frequency response.
The Chi is powered by the new Intel Core M processor that has been designed to be power-efficient. As for storage, the Chi has an ultra-fast, responsive all-solid-state storage that’s up to nine times faster than traditional hard disks.
The Transformer Book Chi also features USB 3.0 connectivity — via a Type B USB port — for data transfers that are up to ten times faster than USB .
The T300Chi is available in two models: 5Y71 retails for Php46,995 while the 5Y710 costs Php39,995.
