Fujitsu enhances performance of Fujitsu M10 SPARC servers

When coupled with the Fujitsu M10 servers’ industry-leading compute capability, the enhanced servers can cut batch processing times for business data and tackle a broad range of Big Data analyses – from such sources as SNS, sensors and mobile devices – to accelerate decision making and increase business productivity.

Fujitsu has announced that the Fujitsu M10-1, as well as the compact Fujitsu M10-4 mid-range servers are now available worldwide in additional configurations featuring the new 3.7GHz SPARC64 X+ 8 core processors providing approximately 30 percent performance improvements. When coupled with the Fujitsu M10 servers’ industry-leading compute capability, the enhanced servers can cut batch processing times for business data and tackle a broad range of Big Data analyses – from such sources as SNS, sensors and mobile devices – to accelerate decision making and increase business productivity.

The new Fujitsu M10-1 and M10-4 models offer the same higher per core performance of the high-end Fujitsu M10-4S server. The compact 1U Fujitsu M10-1 and the powerful workhorse Fujitsu M10-4 servers are now offered in three processor speeds, allowing organizations to get more from their IT investments. Fujitsu M10, with Oracle Solaris and the highly scalable Oracle Database 12c, is well-suited for mission-critical applications.

Since the worldwide release of the Fujitsu M10 UNIX server in 2013, the Fujitsu and Oracle SPARC collaboration has led many customers to trust their organizations IT infrastructure needs to Fujitsu M10 servers. Customers across a wide range of industries are enjoying the benefits of deploying mission-critical applications on Fujitsu M10. The enhanced Fujitsu M10 server models announced today provide customers with more options to optimize their IT investments.

The new Fujitsu M10 servers offer enhanced options for customers seeking mission-critical computing solutions for cloud or data center deployments. This is the latest of many advances that resulted from the ongoing collaboration between Oracle and Fujitsu.
