Infor has launched the CloudSuite, a group of industry-specific cloud-based applications that run on Amazon Web Services (AWS).
The applications are designed to provide industry functionality that cater to the requirements of specific industries such as food and beverage, aerospace and defense, automotive, chemicals, distribution, equipment, fashion, healthcare, technology, hospitality, industrial manufacturing, and the public sector.
“Philippine manufacturing, food and beverage, logistics and other businesses are increasingly integrating into the greater ASEAN regional and global markets,” said Helen Masters, Vice President of Sales for ASEAN at Infor. “By providing manufacturers and enterprises with the business tools they need, and the flexibility and efficiency of cloud-based solutions, Philippine managers can focus on gaining market share and expanding business opportunities throughout the region.”
Masters said that being the first industry cloud company, Infor develops solutions that are specialized for a particular industry. The applications can be availed through a flexible, subscription-based delivery model that significantly reduces upfront IT expenditures.
To support core business functions for a particular industry, each industry suite within Infor CloudSuite is built by unifying multiple applications that historically were deployed independently. This core, together with fast and simple provisioning and a SaaS (software-as-a-service) pricing model, will enable CloudSuite to change the way enterprise software is delivered to and consumed by customers.
By leveraging AWS cloud infrastructure, Infor is allowing its customers to take advantage of Amazon’s expertise and economies of scale to access resources when they need them, on demand and with auto-scaling built into the Infor solutions.
Infor is in the process of consolidating existing subscribers and transitioning current internal infrastructure to the AWS platform. AWS provides services in 10 regions, with 25 availability zones and 51 Amazon CloudFront Edge locations globally.
“AWS has the best and most advanced cloud infrastructure in the world, providing a delivery model, cost structure, and focus on operational excellence that perfectly complements and enhances our products,” said Masters. “Moreover, the tie between Infor and AWS is strengthened through a common focus on customer experience, rapid-pace of innovation, and standard-based architecture.”
Masters says that Infor has a huge interest in the Philippines, being a growth market. Its latest solutions and cloud-enabled applications were introduced to the Philippine market to drive economic growth locally and across the region. On the other hand, the Philippines plays a key role in helping achieve Infor’s long-term global growth with its strategic location and dynamic workforce.
To enable Philippine businesses and their employees with tools that drive up productivity and efficiency, Infor has partnered with local service providers Indra and Triforce Global Solutions.
