Foodpanda is one of the Philippine market leaders in online food ordering and delivery; and with SafeZone, ordering from foodpanda has been made more accessible as customers no longer have to worry about forking over extra for Internet charges. SafeZone is a service that empowers businesses to offer customers access to their mobile apps and sites for free.

“We understand that people may want to order food online but may not have ready access to the Internet. But that doesn’t mean they have to be hungry all the time,” quipped Mauro Cocchieri, foodpanda Philippines CEO and co-founder.

SafeZone is a platform that makes customers experience the free side of the Internet with the best brand websites and applications—from lifestyle, shopping, music, online listing, banking, news, travel and of course, food ordering and delivery. All they need to do is to visit www.safezone.ph and register for a free account. From there, people can start accessing the most in-demand websites like www.foodpanda.ph and other mobile applications without worrying about having an active mobile internet subscription.

Vea, CEO of Voyager, the digital innovation arm of PLDT that developed SafeZone. “Through SafeZone, brands like foodpanda can provide a mobile service that is convenient and easily accessible to users, and more importantly, it requires no cost on the part of their customers.”

Foodpanda is among the top brands to partner with Voyager for SafeZone, which also includes the biggest names in local and global entertainment, online commerce, travel, transportation, and news such as Philippine Airlines, Bank of the Philippine Islands, Agoda, Inquirer, Skyscanner, ZALORA, Carmudi, Lamudi, SPINNR, GameX, Babble Messenger, Eat Bulaga, and Pinoy Hoops, among others.

To start ordering via foodpanda without data charges, Smart and Sun customers only have to visit www.safezone.ph or download the mobile app in the Google Play Store. Once in SafeZone, users will have to switch “Load Protect” ON to ensure that they do not get charged for accessing other mobile apps and sites that are not part of platform.
