To be held on February 25, Wednesday, the event will be conducting a flash sale for iPhone 6 which will be sold at PhP27,999; Cherry Mobile Me Vibe at PhP2,999; Meizu MX4 at PhP12,000; and power banks at PhP499. Aside from this, Lazada.com.ph will be giving away prizes for Lazada mobile application users.

Launched first quarter of 2014, the Lazada Mobile App for Android, IPhone and IPad provides convenience to Lazada customers allowing them to shop anywhere, anytime. Dedicated deals and discounts exclusively applicable to this app will be offered as well as partnerships with reputable brands to further encourage downloads and usage of the Lazada Mobile App.

This app, together with the increasing penetration and usage of handheld devices, continues to innovate the retail online experience, and more establishments are taking advantage of this trend to capture customers. This scenario has contributed to the growth of Mobile Commerce or M-Commerce in the Philippines.

The company said that mobile traffic constitutes more than 50% of their daily traffic. Downloads of Lazada Mobile App, which have grown 18% on a monthly basis on iOS and Android since its launch, helped expand the traffic. Mobile App users shop more regularly and make more purchases per year. On average, a mobile app user spends five minutes shopping online.

The transactions made with Lazada.com.ph, which according to its CEO and co-founder, Inanc Balci, is zero-risk, is also an important factor in boosting traffic. They have not encountered any problems regarding safety in online shopping. “It is less risky and goods may be returned to Lazada after 14 days and these will be refunded,” Balci said.

The company also reported that 60% of those who shop online are female customers between the ages of 24-35. Consequently, the most search and bought items via mobile are fashion, health and beauty, electronics, and home and living items.
