Oracle extends functionality of retail suite to the cloud

Oracle Corp. has released Oracle Retail 14.1 to help retailers simplify their IT environments while delivering the commerce anywhere experience consumers expect. The new suite integrates digital and physical environments and support interactions and transactions anywhere, at any time, and on any device.

The new release also builds on Oracle’s strategy for the combination of Oracle and MICROS, and extends Oracle’s retail offerings in the cloud.

New functionality supports optimized inventory management and endless aisle visibility strengthens retailers’ ability to enable consumers to purchase what, when, and how they want while providing store associates with information they need to save the sale.

Oracle Retail 14.1 also features enhanced mobile capabilities and improved commerce integration to deliver better shopping experiences across all channels and devices.

Meanwhile, the updated Oracle Retail Reference Library—a collection of implementation information including business process models, architectural diagrams, and more—incorporates key enhancements in this latest release.
