Can you create a mobile app within 24 hours? If yes, AT&T, A SPACE Manila and Golden Gate Ventures are co-hosting the 2014 Philippines Mobile App Developers’ Day in Manila on December 6 to 7 to challenge participants in the Philippines to create a mobile app within 24 hours.
The theme of the contest is “Smart City and Community Involvement”. Teams that come up with the best apps will win prizes totaling more than US$9,000, as well as six-month coaching and mentoring by Golden Gate Ventures.
AT&T, A SPACE Manila and Golden Gate Ventures will provide the resources, education and networking structure to create apps more quickly and at lower cost.
Participants will have access to AT&T’s Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), already built-out services by AT&T. Developers can quickly plug them into their apps for added functionality, such as speech-to-text and machine-to-anything. Mentors will be on hand to help and share their knowhow with the participating innovators.

The 2014 Philippines Mobile App Developers’ Day will take place in A SPACE Manila facilities from 9 a.m. on Dec. 6 to 5 p.m. on Dec. 7, 2014.
