Globe Telecom is nurturing the entrepreneurial spirit of its employees by giving them the information they need to succeed as entrepreneurs.
At its first myBusiness Day, Globe’s myBusiness unit, in partnership with the Association of Filipino Franchisers, Inc. (AFFI), showcased franchising opportunities for aspiring entrepreneurs.
The one-stop shop franchising affair was organized especially for Globe employees. Employees were provided franchising investment opportunities and exclusive offers from over 20 local franchise exhibitors from the food, retail, and service industries, which can drive them to get started with the business they want.
“All our campaigns to inspire entrepreneurship and success are not only an external drive, but are also what we practice within Globe as well,” said Martha Sazon, Senior Vice President and Head for Globe myBusiness. “Through myBusiness Day, we give Globe employees the first-hand opportunity to become entrepreneurs and arm them with all information they need to get started with their dream businesses.”
Globe myBusiness develops partnership with startups and encourages them to take advantage of the latest technologies and emerging trends to run their business efficiently and succeed. It has innovative solutions which are intended to boost retail operations.
According to Sazon, Globe never stops making solutions. In fact, one of the highlighted products of the affair is the mobile POS system Globe Charge, which allows businesses to accept credit cards. It is a game-changing service for the growing number of mSMBs which enables them to grow their businesses.
Gil Genio, Globe’s Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for Business and International Markets, said that Globe myBusiness is actually going beyond the basic core telco products and services through innovative solutions which change the way our SMB owners maximize ICT tools available to them.
Genio also said that Globe myBusiness offers entrepreneurs with learning activity sessions on business opportunities in partnership with AFFI. Apart from this, “as partners, we do business together,” he said.
Aside from Globe Charge, other enablers offered by Globe myBusiness include the cloud-based productivity suite Google Apps for Work, Internet-based monitoring solution Globe myBusiness CCTV, GadgetMax postpaid plans, Globe myBusiness Broadband.
Meanwhile, as AFFI partner, Globe myBusiness will play a major role in boosting the ICT capabilities of its members as the Philippine franchising sector gears up for the ASEAN Economic Cooperation (AEC). It will provide franchisees with learning sessions and assist them through promotions, advance information on offers, as well as processes streamlining through digitization.
For his part, AFFI President Victor Fernando expresses his gratitude to Globe saying, “with the help of Globe, AFFI is confident that it will tackle all the challenges coming its way.”
