Sony Philippines’ new Xperia Z3 series flagship mobile devices—the Xperia Z3, Xperia Z3 Compact, and Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact— will soon be available in the Philippines. The company says all three mobile devices are fully waterproof and can be used as a remote screen to connect to and control your games on PS4.
Weighing 152 grams, the Xperia Z3 sports a 7.3mm super-slim rounded aluminium frame and durable tempered glass panels and is available in a new range of colors including white, black, copper or silver green.

For those who prefer a compact smartphone, the Xperia Z3 Compact is just 8.6mm thick and 129 grams and is available in unique color range including orange and green, in addition to the classic white and black.
Sony says both the phones are fully waterproof (delivering the highest waterproof rating of IP 65/68), so you can take your Xperia Z3 or Xperia Z3 Compact with you wherever you go – whether you’re answering a call in the rain or taking pictures in the pool.
The phones are powered by a fully integrated Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor with 2.5 GHz quad-core CPU with 4G LTE modem for lightning fast browsing, immersive multimedia experiences and stunning visuals.
Both the phones boast a long-lasting battery life of up to two days. You can extend the life further with Sony’s Battery STAMINA Mode, which turns off background functions when you’re not using them to help extend your battery life.

Drawing on years of expertise from Sony’s Cyber-shot and Handycam technologies, Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z3 Compact deliver image quality whether it’s in low-light, on the move or even underwater.
The 1/2.3” ExmorRS for mobile sensor and BIONZ for mobile processing engine work together to give you photos and videos in sharp and vivid detail. Plus, you can fit more into every shot with the new 25mm wide-angle SonyG Lens.
If you’re capturing a photo of a stunning sunset, take advantage of the world’s first ISO 12800 sensitivity in a smartphone for better detail, even in low light.
Furthermore, Sony’s new and improved SteadyShot technology with Intelligent Active Mode compensates for your movements, analysing dozens of backwards and forward frames, to predict your next steps and make panning smoother and images more stable.

Users can also record clips in super-clear 4K resolution at four times Full HD. Plus, the advanced video mode on Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z3 Compact means you can pause and resume filming.
The only smartphones with PS4 Remote Play
The Xperia Z3 or Xperia Z3 Compact can also be used as a remote screen to connect to and control your games on PS4. For those times when the TV is being used, simply connect your Xperia smartphone to your PS4 via home Wi-Fi and use the DUALSHOCK 4 Wireless Controller with the GCM10 Game Control Mount to continue playing games anywhere at home on Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z3 Compact.
Additionally, the PlayStation App lets you use your Xperia Z3 or Xperia Z3 Compact as a second screen to remotely watch the game play of your friends, communicate with PSN friends, or purchase PS4 games and download to PS4.
The world’s slimmest and lightest compact tablet
The Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact is just 6.4mm slim and weighs only just 270g.

The tablet’s stainless steel corners, an ultra slim rounded frame and a tempered glass front give an elegant and durable finish. Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact is available in either white or black to ensure a classic finish. Like the Xperia Z3 smartphones, the Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact is also waterproof.
You may also use your Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact as a remote screen to connect to and control your games on PS4. The Sony Xperia Z3 will be available starting the 4th week of October in black, white, copper and silver green colours in all Sony Centers, Xperia shops and other authorized dealers with a cash SRP of Php 34,990.

Mid-range smartphones
Sony also introduced two mid-range smartphones.
The Xperia E3 features the flagship Z3 series design, ultrafast LTE connectivity, a generous 4.5” display, 5MP camera with HDR and creative camera apps, and fast performance. It has a cash SRP of Php 10,490.
The Xperia E3 is available in a range of colours to express your individual style – choose from white, black, lime and copper.
Meanwhile, the Xperia M2 Aqua is a waterproof mid-range smartphone.
Wearables
Sony also launched a powerful lifelogging wearable, the SmartBand Talk which features a curved 1.4” e-paper display.
The wearable has a built-in microphone and speaker, combined with a short call function that lets you talk into it and hear your caller.
New built-in accelerometer and altimeter sensor technology provide an accurate overview of your daily physical activity. The Sony SmartBand Talk will be available by November with an SRP of Php 8,990.
Also introduced is the SmartWatch 3, Sony’s latest “smartwatch”, but the first specifically designed for the latest Android Wear updates in close collaboration with Google.
It organizes your information, suggests what you need, and shows it to you before you even ask. SmartWatch 3 also offers impressive standalone functionality with the built-in Accelerometer, Compass, Gyro and GPS sensor technology providing more accurate, more powerful lifelogging.
SmartWatch 3 sports a 1.6” 320×320 transflective display, set within a stainless steel core unit that is both premium and waterproof (IP68 rated) available in Classic black and white colors, with extra colour straps available in red & blue, and pink & white. The Sony SmartWatch 3 will be available by November with an SRP of Php 11,990.
Loud and Clear campaign
Meanwhile, Sony has launched an early Christmas campaign that encourages Filipinos to create and share random acts of kindness to move Filipinos to spread the Christmas cheer this season.
Entitled as Loud and Clear, the social media campaign calls for netizens to capture and upload photos or videos on any social media platform (Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram) that show how they or other people make family, friends, or even strangers happy with a small or big gesture.
Running from October 24, 2014 to January 25, 2015, the campaign requires netizens to use the hashtag #PassTheCheerand tag @SonyPHInc for Instagram and Twitter, and @SonyPhilippines for Facebook to qualify in the promo. Every month from October to January, two winners will be randomly selected to bag exciting surprises and gadgets from Sony.
