Globe Telecom’s cloud-based service helps companies eliminate paperwork

Globe Telecom has launched a cloud-based service that will help businesses go paperless and save up to 75% on paper costs and achieve annual productivity savings of about P175,000 per user on average.

Globe Telecom, through its IT-Enabled Services Group (IG), has introduced a cloud-based service that seeks to help businesses go paperless and save up to 75% on paper costs and achieve annual productivity savings of about Php175,000 per user on average.

In partnership with Canvas, Globe IG launches the cloud-based software service that empowers business users to collect, share and integrate information using mobile devices with existing back-end business systems.

The mobile business offering converts paper-based processes to dynamic, feature-rich mobile apps.

As a result of this new partnership, enterprise and small and medium-sized business (SMB) customers of Globe can unlock the potential of their smartphones and tablets by shifting key business processes from paper forms to dynamic mobile apps with functionalities.

Every Canvas app is customizable and can incorporate functionality such as GPS, image capture, dispatch, barcode scanning, electronic signatures, push notifications and access to business data such as parts catalogs, price lists and patient records.

Canvas eliminates paperwork, captures more information and allows collected data to be shared instantly – anytime, anywhere.

With Globe Telecom being the first and exclusive partner of Canvas in the Philippines, its business customers will be able to leverage on Canvas’s cloud-based service and mobile business app store, which currently has more than 14,000 business apps ranging from inspection forms and work orders to surveys and checklists.

According to Globe and Canvas officials, business customers “going paperless” can reap the significant cost, productivity and efficiency gains, saving up to 75% on paper costs and achieve annual productivity savings of about P175,000 per user on the average.

A P500 monthly investment per account includes unlimited access to Canvas Application Store, unlimited creation of forms & unlimited submissions.

“Local businesses of all sizes and across all industries are shifting core business processes to mobile devices as they are drawn to the ability of mobile apps to solve challenges associated with traditional paper-based processes,” says Globe Vice President of IG Rey Lugtu.

Canvas channel and partnership manager for Australia, New Zealand and Asia Pacific Dan Stevens added, “In our 2014 survey of business and IT decision makers, 63 percent of respondents indicated that they see value integrating core business applications with mobile devices and tools.”
