Sybex Animal Health and Nutrition, a local company specializing in animal feed additives distribution, is upgrading its IT set-up with an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system with NEC Philippines, Inc. as their implementation partner.

Established and conceived in 2003 as a subsidiary of its mother company, Eurotec Nutrition Philippines Inc., Sybex AHN fulfills an operations role with feed additives coming directly from Europe. Sybex AHN caters mainly to the feed mills, poultry integrators and commercial poultry and swine farms.

Sybex AHN particularly deals with companies that undergo entire processes, from the production of feeds to egg production. Playing an integral role in the animal nutrition sector, Sybex AHN is constantly seeking new and innovative strategies and solutions for the feed industry and its clients.

With the need to modernize and improve their operations, Sybex decided to invest in SAP’s Business One solution, with NEC Philippines Inc. as the systems integrator and implementation partner. Sybex recognized that the adoption of an ERP solution will address challenges and pain points of  the company.

Sybex foresees the need to provide optimum services and critical accuracy in their system as the business requires daily generation of records, reflecting mission-critical day-to-day operations. Logistical and operational complexities requiring fast, concise, and capable solutions, this upgrade in their system holds the key to their continued success and development.

When asked why Sybex chose NEC, Finance Manager Rico Bautista proudly answers; “Simply put, we want to be as big as NEC if not bigger. We are a company that is experiencing double digit growth yearly, and it is only getting better for us. That kind of growth means an increase in opportunities. However, without the right resources or tools, we cannot tap into other markets. We chose to upgrade our system with NEC because they have the experience and an excellent track record. With NEC we will be able to focus on our core competency and not be held back by outdated technology and mismatched systems. Our old system was sufficient at the time, but the new growth potentials that we see needs to be supported by a customized, efficient and reliable structure.”

SAP’s Business One serves the need of small to midsize businesses like Sybex AHN for solutions that will help in increasing productivity, accuracy, and efficiency.

Confident that they have made the right decision, Sybex AHN is capable of being successful while being ethical and fair in their decisions.

“With NEC Philippines Inc., we can identify glitches, implement solutions and execute precise monitoring. It provides a valid basis for our decision-making, allowing space and time for us to dedicate our efforts on other responsibilities and tasks,” Bautista reveals. “In choosing NEC, we recognize our own ambition and determination to become as respected and influential as them one day. We look to NEC as one of our benchmarks for success, given their track record and reputation; we find that we are in the best hands through this partnership. In the long run our plan is that whatever rewards we reap from engaging in the industry, we must always consider the importance of giving back.”
