Crowne Plaza Manila Galleria’s corporate guests will be entitled to have, aside from unlimited wireless Internet and broadband connection, a SmartBro Pocket Wi-Fi (for every room they occupy) which they can bring with them anywhere, even outside hotel premises. With the device, guests can create a Wi-Fi hotspot and provide 3G connection for up to 10 gadgets.

A partnership between Crowne Plaza and Smart Communications, Inc., the service aims to boost productivity, making it easier for business travelers to accomplish their goals whether it is for closing deals in corporate meetings or connecting with their loved ones.

SmartBRO_PocketWifiConsidered a first-in-the-market innovation and a first-of-its kind joint venture in the Philippine hospitality industry, the partnership is made possible by Smart’s advanced broadband network which currently operates  more than 10,000 4G-capable (HSPA+, LTE/LTE-A) sites and backed by four times more fiber power around the country.

According to Crowne Plaza’s Director of Sales and Marketing Trixie de Chavez, corporate accounts or those corporations which have contracts with Crowne Plaza will be provided with a Pocket Wi-Fi as a value-added service and no extra cost will be charge from them. Internet access will be given to them even if they are outside the hotel so they can be easily connected.

“We are excited to partner with Crowne Plaza to deliver another pioneering service in the Philippines. With Smart’s ultrafast and reliable mobile broadband coverage, guests can stay connected and productive whether they are inside or outside of hotel premises,” said Michele Curran, Data and International Services Marketing Head at Smart.
