Honeywell appoints Jeffrey Sit to lead security business in APac

Honeywell has announced that Jeffrey Sit has been appointed as vice president and general manager of Honeywell Security Asia Pacific, reporting directly to Ron Rothman, president of Honeywell Security Group.

Honeywell has announced that Jeffrey Sit has been appointed as vice president and general manager of Honeywell Security Asia Pacific, reporting directly to Ron Rothman, president of Honeywell Security Group.

Jeffrey SitIn his role, Sit will lead Honeywell Security Asia Pacific as it continues to serve the region’s vibrant, high-growth economies. His appointment emphasizes the consistency of Honeywell Security Group’s strategy in Asia Pacific to further innovate and create increased value for customers. He replaces Mabel Ng who was recently named vice president and general manager for Asia Pacific for the company’s Environmental and Combustion Controls business unit.

Sit joined Honeywell Security Group in January 2006 taking several leadership roles as sales director Asia Pacific, and general manager East Asia and South China. Prior to joining Honeywell Security, he has held various positions in ADEMCO, C&K (acquired by Honeywell in 2000) and other companies in the security business. Sit holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from National Cheng Kung University and a MBA from Monash University Australia.

“Security is a core business for Honeywell and Asia Pacific constitutes a strategic and important part in its global strategy,” Sit said. “Honeywell has great momentum for accelerated growth built on a long, reputable history and a strong installation base in the security and smart home industry across Asia Pacific. We will further strengthen our foothold in various vertical sectors such as transportation, industrial, banking, residential, casino and government infrastructure projects, and to keep innovating our products and solutions to be easier to install, easier to use and easier to maintain.”
