One of Canada’s top employers has announced plans to open a new global services center in Mactan Newtown, Cebu. The new facility, expected to launch later this year, will host a range of professional services for Manulife, one of the world’s leading financial services groups, serving its operations across Asia, Canada and the US.
The new center marks a major expansion for Manulife Business Processing Services (MBPS), which has two existing facilities in Quezon City, Metro Manila.
“People have always been the key to our success which is why we chose Cebu. The high level skills of the Cebuano will support Manulife’s growth, especially in financial and investment services, as well as actuarial and underwriting support roles.” said Gigi Mantaring, GM of MBPS.
MBPS was recognized in the 2013 International ICT Awards for Best Shared Services and by the 2013 Asia Outsourcing Congress for Outstanding Contribution to the Business Processing Outsourcing industry.
