The DWA-171 Wireless AC Dual Band Mini USB adapter measures a mere 31.7 x 18.8 x 8mm.

The new, patented SmartBeam technology in-built on D-Link Wireless AC Cloud Routers uses a six antenna design that tracks and locates individual devices that are connected to the wireless network, helping to boost the signals directly to those devices. It prevents loss of Wi-Fi signal when one moves from room to room at home or in the office, and eliminates dead spots that are caused by weak range or interference.

Armed with USB 3.0 support, the DWA-182 Wireless AC1200 Dual Bank USB adapter delivers accelerated data transfer rates at speeds up to 10 times faster than the previous USB 2.0 standard. As an added convenience to ensure lightning-fast performance for all devices, the adapter also offers backwards compatibility to USB 2.0.

The DWA-171 Wireless AC Dual Band Mini USB adapter measures a mere 31.7 x 18.8 x 8mm (about the size of a mini stapler) but packs in a punch with its extended reach and dependability to give users speedy Internet access for all their online needs.

Both USB adapters make use of the new 802.11ac networking standard which offers up to three times the speed of data throughput than the previous 802.11n standard. This upgraded speed makes it the ideal companion for high bandwidth needs such as HD video streaming, faster gaming and lag-free video conferencing.

With integrated Dual-Band Technology, users also have the option of choosing between 2.4GHz (up to 300Mbps for DWA-182 and up to 150Mbps for DWA-171) or 5GHz (up to 867Mbps for DWA-182 and up to 433Mbps for DWA-182) speeds. The 2.4GHz band offers smooth Internet browsing and music streaming while the 5GHz option delivers lag-free video calls, movie streaming and online gameplay.
