Alcatel One Touch has upgraded its flagship smartphone series to create the IDOL X+, an ultra-compact, premium smartphone powered by MediaTek Inc.’s MT6592 True Octa-Core chipset, which allows 2GHz eight cores to work simultaneously.
The smartphone features a Full HD 441ppi display with “0” bezel for an edge-to-edge experience on the full lamination 5″ screen. The IDOL X+ also offers a viewing angle of more than 170 degrees to create life-like display, enhanced by the 13.1Mpxl Full HD camera.
Featuring the MediaTek MT6592, the IDOL X+ carries specifications and is able to enhance performance, increase battery efficiency and therefore improve the overall user experience. The MT6592 is the world’s first heterogeneous computing SOC with scalable eight-core processing and is designed to benefit higher-end mobile devices that require additional computational capabilities to support for:
- Better battery performance: 40% reduction in battery usage for web browsing with Wi-Fi, and 65% reduction in decoding Full HD video when compared to quad-core platform
- Advanced multi-tasking and improved user experiences: smoother web browsing since every browser tab is allocated to a different core
- Improved 3D graphics performance and long-lasting, premium gaming experiences
The IDOL X+ also features ONETOUCH LIVE, a single location from which users can easily download the latest and best apps on the market.
