Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. has announced that SportsFlow is among the top-ranked apps on Google Play Store’s Free Sports Apps Category. The SportsFlow app is the top ranked free sports app in Singapore, and number 2 in Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines and number 3 in Thailand.
SportsFlow was launched in September 2013 at the inaugural Sports Matters conference in Singapore.
“Sports is about uniting fans with their passions and we are happy to be part of that journey for many sports enthusiasts through SportsFlow,” said Maurizio Barbieri, Head of Sports for MSC, Southeast Asia. “It’s satisfying to be the sports app of choice by our customers and to be able to offer them a customisable, content-rich app on their Samsung devices.”
SportsFlow is a news and content app for sports enthusiasts. Through SportsFlow, fans can get access to news articles, article summaries and photos for a wide range of professional sports, including football (English Premier League, Italian Serie A), motor sports (Formula 1, MotoGP), cricket, basketball, baseball, tennis, golf and more. Fans can get all the sports information through one single convenient app, without having to be sent from website to website or app to app to access news and content.
The app is highly customisable according to a fan’s favoured sports and geographies of interest. Fans can easily access and read content as well as share through built-in social feeds such as Facebook and Twitter.
SportsFlow is uniquely designed to take advantage of the high definition quality of Samsung’s devices to display a visual stream of sports news sourced from global information outlets including Yahoo!, BBC, Bleacher Report, Kick TV and NewsCorp’s BallBall, Asia’s premier mobile app and website for exclusive Europe football clips and coverage.
SportsFlow is currently available for sports fans using the Samsung GALAXY Tab 3 8.0, GALAXY Note 8.0, GALAXY Note 10.1 and the GALAXY range of smart phones. The app can be downloaded for free from the Google Play Store.
