Lenovo was ranked as the #1 PC vendor worldwide with 2013 first quarter shipments totaling 12.6 million units and is currently the #1 PC vendor in the Philippines with a double-digit market share, based on the latest IDC results.

“We are truly humbled to have achieved the number one standing, both in the local and global PC markets,” said Vicky Agorrilla, Country General Manager, Lenovo Philippines. “While we celebrate our success, Lenovo is also keen to give back to our community by upholding Filipinos’ welfare and helping spur economic development.”

Lenovo Philippines, in cooperation with Open Communications, distributed relief goods and bags of rice to 600 beneficiaries in Barangay 164, Barrio Talipapa, Novaliches. Typhoon Maring-habagat caused the nearby Tulyahan River to overflow, damaging residences and livelihood.

“This is the first time a private organization has reached out to us, and we are truly grateful to Lenovo Philippines for conducting the outreach activity. The relief operation has helped our community residents recover from the damage and loss caused by the recent typhoon. We hope Lenovo will continue to support our barangay and other local communities and keep up their noble work,” said Barangay Captain Tess Manawat.
