Norway-based Opera Software, maker of the Opera Mini browser, has teamed up with the Philippine mobile operator Sun Cellular, to bring an exciting mobile Internet experience to Filipino users through the Opera Mini browser.
Under this partnership, subscribers can enjoy browsing, while exploring a wide range of web resources such as social media or online news, directly from Opera Mini, using its unique Speed Dial feature.
Speed Dial is shortcuts to webpages, allowing users to access chosen websites directly, as soon as they open the browser.
Opera Mini, which is compatible with 3,000 different handsets, allows for a more efficient browsing experience by compressing the size of each webpage to as little as 10%, making it possible for online-based content to load faster.
Lars Boilesen, CEO of Opera Software, further explains, “As web access and mobile browsing continue to become part of everyone’s lifestyle, Opera remains keen to develop these innovations that support carrier services and make the mobile experience even more user friendly.”
Meanwhile, Michele Curran, Vice President for Data Services of Sun Cellular, adds, “Aside from offering best-value browsing services, we strive to optimize the mobile experience and continue to seek value-adding integrations such as Opera Mini. We are positive that our subscribers will find it much easier now to indulge in mobile browsing, through this partnership.”
